Jayla Holloway

Jayla likes to swim and play basketball, and a future as a basketball player is one of her career goals. The other is something in engineering or another technical field. In the classroom, Jayla likes mystery books and hopes to reach the "Millionaire Reader" milestone by reading 1 million words this school year. In math, working through examples or pictures are her best method for solving math problems.

Ballard-Hudson Middle School

Lalah Black

Lalah's favorite class at Ballard-Hudson is algebra, but she also likes to read and write. After she finishes high school, Layla's goal is to head out west to attend UCLA, where she would study to be an anesthesiologist.

Ruth Patterson

Ruth Patterson

Ruth loves math class at Ballard-Hudson. After school, she runs track but always makes sure to keep up with her studies. For a career, Ruth plans to either pursue something in the engineering or counseling fields.

Central High School

Alivia Johnson

Alivia Johnson

Alivia enjoys math and science classes at Central. She's also an ambassador for the girls' STEM organization Real Impact, and is a mentor for the group's robotics team. At this point, Alivia is still undecided about what she wants to do after high school, but she has an interest in neo-natal surgery and chemical engineering.

Northeast High School

Shamiya Gladden

Shamiya Gladden

Shamiya's favorite subjects in school are math and reading, and she is in the Mentor's Project. She has also participated in feeding the homeless during the Christmas season. When she's not at school, she loves going to the moving, shopping and going out to eat with her friends. At this time, Shamiya's goal is to attend Albany State University or Savannah State University and study to be a nurse or pediatrician.

Cody Mason

Cody Mason

Cody's favorite subject in school is English, and he also loves art, basketball and reading. He has participated in several community service activities with the Mentor's Project, including trash cleanup and spending time at the Senior Center. In the future, he wants to attend the University of North Georgia or Mercer University and wants to be a technician or pursue a future in music because he plays the trumpet.

Amari Stubbs

Amari's favorite subjects at Northeast are math and social studies. She is a participant in the Real Impact STEM group at Mercer University and also loves playing in the Raider marching band. When she graduates high school, Amari plans to attend Penn State or Georgia Tech to pursue a career as a neurosurgeon.

Southwest High School

Amari Cotton

Amari's favorite classes at Southwest are math and marketing, and she's also a part of the FBLA club. In the future, she plans to be an entreprenuer with an expanding brand.

Jasmine Martin

Jasmine Martin

Jasmine parcipates in several activities at Southwest, including FBLA, Academic Team, FCCLA, 4-H and band, in which she plays the flute. When she gets older, Jasmine plans to pursue a career as a pediatric nurse.

Altanese's favorite class at Southwest is English, and she also enjoys digital design and cheerleading. When she gets older, Altanese plans to pursue a career in forensices or public safety and corrections.

Anaya Patterson

Anaya Patterson

Anaya's favorite class is math, but she also likes reading, writing and band class. After high school, Anaya wants to attend, Spelman, Benedict or Clark Atlanta, where she will pursue a career as a lawyer.
