The first-place winners will advance to compete at the Georgia Student Technology Competition to be held Virtually in April 2021. https://www.gastc.org

WHAT SCHOOLS SHOULD DO

  • SELECT THE TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION COORDINATOR: Deadline: November 8th, 2020.

  • Click TAKE SURVEY to fill out the Technology Competition Coordinator form (BCSD O365 log in required).

  • Schools may have more than one Coordinator, but the person entered in the survey will be the PRIMARY Coordinator and contact person for the school.

  • REVIEW ALL TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION GUIDELINES: Download the Coordinator Guidelines and Responsibilities regarding school level deadlines, communications, registration, and attendance HERE

  • LAUNCH A SCHOOL CAMPAIGN: Communicate with students, staff, and parents announcing the school and district level Technology Competitions. Create your own or click the below links to print district posters/flyers.

  • CONDUCT A SCHOOL LEVEL TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION: If needed, School level technology competitions must be completed by February 3, 2021.

  • Updated: PROJECT INFORMATION: Schools may register Two (2) projects in each grade level category to compete at the District level. Entries may be Individual or Team, however teams may consist of no more than two (2) students and teams and individuals compete together. Students may only enter (1) project and the project will compete in the highest grade level division represented.
    Review Category guidelines, descriptions and rubrics HERE. Team entries may consist of no more than two (2) students; teams and individuals compete together. Students may only enter one (1) project. The Technology Competition is open to all Bibb County School District students in grades 3-12. Any student in an alternative educational setting may compete at his/her currently assigned home school.

  • REGISTRATION: Complete ONLINE REGISTRATION (February 1 -11, 2021), and submit parental permission forms to the Instructional Technology Department at SOAR Academy (Attention: Vicki Boatwright) or email to [email protected]. Forms must be received no later than February 15, 2021.

  • Support your students at our regional competition. They should have a back up of their project and all supporting items.
