CELL PHONE POLICY FOR ALL STUDENTS
Bibb Schools implemented a new student cell phone policy in 2022-23 to help prevent distractions during learning time. Under this policy, personally owned electronic devices are not permitted for use during the school day unless authorized by the superintendent or designee. A student is allowed to have a personally owned electronic device at school but it must be out of sight and turned off during the school day. Students are permitted to use their personally owned electronic device after completion of the school day. View the Code of Conduct for guidance on violations to the policy. The first offense will result in the cell phone being turned into administration, and parents will be required to schedule a meeting with a school administrator to retrieve the phone. Read the full policy here.
