Acceptance into any elementary magnet school and Fine Arts program is based on application and a successful interview. Consideration at an elementary or middle magnet school is first based on random lottery selection to determine the order students will be interviewed. Students wait-listed at the elementary and middle magnet schools will automatically be placed on a waiting list and contacted if slots become available. Acceptance into the Fine Arts programs at Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School and Central Fine Arts & International Baccalaureate Magnet High School is also based on a successful audition. In addition to an application, an essay will also be required for consideration of acceptance into Central’s International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme. It is important that you visit Central’s website (https://central.bcsdk12.net) for specific requirements regarding the magnet interview, audition, and IB essay that must be completed during the application process.
