Get Ready for the 2022-2023 School Year
Back to School

The 2022-2023 school year is about to begin in the Bibb County School District, with Open House scheduled for July 29 for middle and high schools and August 1 for elementary schools. Students will report for their first day of classes on AUGUST 3, and the links below can help parents be as prepared as possible to start the school year off right!

As a reminder, the Bibb County School District qualifies for the Community Eligibility Provision. This means that ALL students in BCSD schools can receive breakfast and lunch each school day at no cost to families.

NEW CELL PHONE POLICY FOR ALL STUDENTS
Did you know Bibb Schools has a new student cell phone policy this school year to help prevent distractions during learning time? Under this policy, personally owned electronic devices are not permitted for use during the school day unless authorized by the superintendent or designee. A student is allowed to have a personally owned electronic device at school but it must be out of sight and turned off during the school day. Students are permitted to use their personally owned electronic device after completion of the school day. View the Code of Conduct for guidance on violations to the policy. The first offense will result in the cell phone being turned into administration, and parents will be required to schedule a meeting with a school administrator to retrieve the phone. Read the full policy here.
