Melanique Floyd, Director

Melanique Floyd is a product of Bibb County School District and serves as the Director of Professional Learning. She has worked for the district for 25 years, serving as a teacher, academic coach, Professional Learning Specialist, Human Resources, Coordinator, and currently Director. Mrs. Floyd is passionate about supporting teachers and staff by building relationships and providing support through training and coaching experiences. She is committed to the work of the success of the students and staff in our district. She works in the PL Department to provide quality professional development experiences for all staff members to improve their knowledge and skills, thereby supporting district-wide improvement and increasing student achievement.

Mrs. Floyd holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education, Master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Technology, and an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Management. She is a native of Macon, GA and resides here with her husband and children.

Shanmaria Davis, Budget Assistant

1Shanmaria Davis works as Budget Assistant in Professional Learning Department.  She brings knowledge from working as a Procurement Specialist in Procurement department.  Her job duties include managing the budgets for Professional Learning and Title IIA departments in addition to travel for district.  Shanmaria enjoys and is committed to serving the employees of BSCD.

Michelle Spivey, Program Assistant

Michelle Spivey works as the Program Assistant for the Professional Learning Department. Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked as a Registrar, Data Sustainment Specialist, and has banking experience. Michelle supports PL training by posting and tracking professional learning activities, maintaining endorsement records, tracking staff transcripts. She also manages and maintains the training spaces at the Professional Learning Center by assisting with and supporting all training activities. Michelle is dedicated to ensuring that every staff member and community partner receive the best experience possible. Michelle resides in Macon with her daughter.
