NOTE: Assess students through "ongoing, naturalistic observations that take place daily in the classroom" (GKIDS Manual, pg.10).
Assess within normal classroom activities.
Examples of classroom contexts for assessment:;
- center time and work stations (EASIEST)
- outdoor activities
- classroom routines (calendar time, attendance, transitions, lunch room)
- teacher directed instruction (directed reading/mathematics time, independent reading time, playing games, singing songs, reading books aloud)
