PLAY Card FAQs

The PINES Library Card Access for Youth (PLAY) program gives students free access to public library materials and online resources to help them succeed in school. Middle Georgia Regional Library (MGRL) is partnering with local public schools in Bibb County to provide this free resource to all students.

Students do not have to sign up to participate. They will automatically be provided with a PINES PLAY Card account. Once activated by the library, students can use their PLAY Card account just like they would use a library card. The PLAY Card is free and there are no services. Students only pay for lost or damaged books.

If a student already has a library card, they can still use the PLAY Card. It is an entirely different account and can be used at any PINES library in the state of Georgia.

Other Information:
The PLAY card is an Opt-Out benefit. To opt of of this program during the 2021-2022 school year request an opt-out form from the school media specialist. Return the opt-out form to the school media specialist before September 3, 2021 for this school year.

Remember, you can read your school's ebooks at any time you are connected to the Internet.
