Each project must be unique and cannot be entered in more than one category. Students may participate in one (1) project.
Projects are to be designed and created by students. Some adult guidance is allowed, but it must be clear that all work entered by students was done by the students.
**IMPORTANT**
CLARIFICATION OF COPYRIGHT DOCUMENTATION
The projects entered in the Georgia Student Technology Competition (GaSTC) do not qualify for fair use under the copyright law. The GaSTC is not an educational organization but rather a project of the Georgia Educational Technology Consortium which defines itself as “…a non-profit corporation independent of any educational or commercial entities…”.
Any projects entered in the Middle Georgia/Bibb Technology Competition and which potentially may qualify for the Georgia Student Technology Competition must comply with all copyright regulations including appropriate permissions, documentation, etc.
Students will need to create a document that cites both student produced, and non-student produced material used in the project. Written permissions for all non-student created content must be provided.

Individuals and teams will compete together. Teams can consist of no more than two (2) students and they will compete in the highest grade level division represented.
NOTE: Schools may register up to TWO (2) projects, per category, in each grade level division.
Example: A Middle School may register up to 2 Animation projects in grade level division 5-6 and up to 2 Animation projects in grade level division 7-8.
The Grade Level Divisions are:
Grades 3-4
Grades 5-6
Grades 7-8
Grades 9-10
Grades 11-12
Additional Information:
- Students may not "switch" categories. The project will only be judged in the category in which it was registered for the Technology Competition.
- Students unable to present their projects, even due to illness, may not use "proxies." Only students that are part of the original, registered team may represent a project at the Technology Competition.
- We cannot guarantee Internet access to your sites in the judging spaces and recommend that you have an off-line copy of any Internet based project. Judges will not penalize a project for not connecting to outside links.
