What Is A Partner?

What Is a Partner?

A Strategic Partner is an individual, business, nonprofit, or organization that:

  • Supports the district’s Strategic Plan

  • Provides sustained, aligned support for students and staff

  • Committed to enhance students learning experiences to support impactful academic outcomes

Not considered a strategic partner:

  • One-time donors without continued engagement

  • Vendors seeking only transactional relationships

  • Organizations or groups seeking promotional access to students

  • Visitors who attend without meaningful interaction

Types of School and District Partnerships

School Supporters: Individuals or organizations that provide general support to schools, contributing to a positive learning environment.

District and School Level Partners: Partners who actively engage in district-wide initiatives—such as The PUSH to Clearing the Paths—by supporting academic programs, student incentives, school events, and all strategic focus areas but mainly in literacy and math.

Service Volunteers: Community members or professionals who donate their time and expertise to assist students, educators, and school operations.

Resource Providers: Organizations or individuals who supply valuable resources—including materials, funding, or services—to strengthen teaching and learning.

Event and Celebratory Supporters: Partners who assist in organizing and supporting school and district events, and who contribute to the implementation of tiered support frameworks.

PARTNER UP Partnership Tiered Support/ Sponsorship Model
