  • Technology Competition

    The Rutland Middle Technology Competition will be held Wednesday, December 13. Rutland Middle will be sending their 1st place projects in each category to represent the school in the Bibb County Competition that will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Westside High School.  Students who enter a project have to attend the district fair to be judged.  Check out the Technology website HERE and video about the competition HERE.

  • Attendance Policy Information

    Attendance Policy Highlights: 

    • After returning to school from an absence, students have three (3) days to present a written excuse. Failure to present an excuse will result in an unexcused absence.  The principal or designee will determine whether an absence is excused and may require supporting documentation.  Students shall be given a reasonable opportunity, not exceeding five (5) days, to make up work or tests which were missed because on an excused absence.  Failure to make up work will result in a grade of zero (0).
    • Students who have ten (10) or more unexcused absences will not be promoted to the next grade.

They should choose from fiction and nonfiction books, newspapers, magazines, textbooks, and other sources. Please encourage reading in your home.
