Schools should do the following:

  • Name the Technology Fair Coordinator no later than Sept. 16, 2016.
    • Click Take Survey to fill out the Technology Fair Coordinator form (SchoolWires log in required).
    • Schools may have more than one TF Coordinator, but the person entered in the survey will be the PRIMARY TF Coordinator and contact person for the school. The PRIMARY TF Coordinator is ultimately responsible for the success of the Tech Fair at their school.
  • Review the Technology Fair guidelines listed below regarding school level Technology Fair, deadlines, project category information, judging rubrics, etc.
  • Launch a school campaign and communicate with students, staff, and parents announcing the school and district level Technology Fairs. The flyer may be printed or emailed.

Schools will need to have a school level Technology Fair no later than November 16, 2016 and only first place winners in each category/grade level will be eligible to compete at the District level. Entries may be individual or team; however, teams may consist of no more than two (2) students and teams and individuals compete together. Competitors at the District level may only enter (1) project.


School Technology Fair Coordinators will register only their school’s first place winners and submit parental permission forms to the Technology Services Department (Attention: Vicki Boatwright) no later than December 16, 2016.  


The Technology Fair is open to all Bibb County School District students (including Charter Schools) in grades 3-12.  Update: Any student in an alternative educational setting may compete at their currently assigned school.
